Bill was born on January 13, 1928. Lived in Fistown his entire life. He played for the Phillies minor league team from 1948 to 1951. He played Shortstop. Wore number #6 Was married in 1951 to Anne, and quit playing pro baseball......
He played at Hetzell's from 1958 to 1969. He played short and some third base. He also played Fast pitch for Flatiron with George Ulmer in the 1970's.
More recently, he was the statistician for the Rotan Softball League from 1995 to 2000. He died September 25, 2000. During his last year at Hetzell's he was undergoing chemotherapy treatments but NEVER missed a game at Hetzell's...Rain or shine!! Cold or Hot!!!

Inducted in the Hall Of Fame in 2001
